Brother's memory drives Williams into World Cup opener

South Africa goalkeeper Ronwen Williams says his late brother Marvin remains a powerful inspiration as he captains the team against Mexico in the opening match of the 2026 World Cup.

Williams says his brother Marvin, who died in a car crash in 2010, continues to motivate him. He will carry that inspiration into South Africa’s 2026 World Cup opener against Mexico as captain.
